As a youth ambassador, how would you promote Hong Kong Chinese culture overseas?
After introducing to foreign cultures, students need to learn deeply about their own culture through research. The Competition (I) for the 100 top-scored students has the objective of identifying Youth Ambassadors who can best export the Hong Kong Chinese culture to different parts of the world.
The format will be in a written proposal of 600-800 words and 20 finalists will be selected to make presentation in the final interview. Students will participate on individual base.
Students demonstrate their knowledge in Hong Kong Chinese culture, their skill sets in research, knowledge management, creativity, presentation skills, and their confidence in promoting the culture of Hong Kong overseas.
Details on criteria and marking scheme of the Competition (I) will be announced at a later stage.
The top 10 winners of Competition (I) will become the first 10 AFS Junior Scholars to go on to AFS Year Exchange Program in an overseas country.
The runner up will be invited to join Stage 2 programs and activities.
